San Francisco 49ers @ Buffalo Bills
The 49ers have lost four in a row and have decided to make the switch to Colin Kaepernick for the first time this season. They are going to have to rely on the run against a team that has only allowed 97 yards per game so far. The Bills have been able to run the ball pretty well, especially given that they have LeSean McCoy looking better than ever. This should be a fairly low scoring game from both sides, but the Bills will make more stops and win this game.
SF 14 – 17 BUF
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Chicago Bears
These two teams haven’t looked all that good to start the season. Jacksonville has only averaged 21 points per game and the Bears have only 17 points per game. Brian Hoyer has looked better than Jay Cutler so far and there are rumors that Cutler might not return. Their biggest hope is the Jordan Howard continues playing the way that he has. He is averaging nearly six yards per carry and is facing off against a Jaguars team that has given up 106 rushing yards per game. Both of these teams have been pretty bad defensively as the have both given up at least 25 points per game. Jacksonville should win this with a more dynamic offense and the fact that they should be rested, coming off of their bye week.
JAX 31 – 24 CHI
Los Angeles Rams @ Detroit Lions
The Rams and Lions have looked like complete opposites at this point in the season. The Lions are focused on their offense and attacking through the air and the Rams are focused on their defensive front and cause problems for opposing offenses. Detroit was able to take care of Philadelphia and their good defense last week so they should be ready for the Rams. This should be a close low scoring game that the Lions should win a close one at home.
LA 27 – 20 DET
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Miami Dolphins
This game shouldn’t even be close. The Steelers are averaging 28 points per game while only giving up 18 and the Dolphins are only averaging 17 points per game and giving up 24. Pittsburgh can do anything that they want offensively and that does not bode well for an average Miami defense. The Dolphins have a good line, but once Ben Roethlisberger open up the air game, Le’Veon Bell should be able to run all over the Dolphins. This should be a blow out quickly as the Steelers win handily.
PIT 35 – 9 MIA
Cincinnati Bengals @ New England Patriots
The Bengals look like they have fallen off and the Patriots look even better now that Tom Brady is back. The Bengals couldn’t stop two rookies last week and they could very well have problems with the best quarterback in the league and a veteran runner. It looks like the tight end combination of Gronkowski and Bennett looks like a dream for Brady and could be nearly impossible for anyone to stop. The key for Cincinnati is for them to get the ball to AJ Green, something they weren’t able to do last week. If they don’t, it will be a long day and probably another loss. The Patriots should be able to take this one at home.
CIN 24 – 31 NE
Carolina Panthers @ New Orleans Saints
The Panthers look like a shell of themselves from last year and the Saints are coming off of a needed bye week. It sounds like Cam Newton could be out this week and that could spell more trouble this week for the Panthers. Derek Anderson is a solid backup quarterback, but he shouldn’t get into a firefight with Drew Brees, especially with their weak secondary. Brandin Cooks, Willie Snead, and Michael Thomas should all have really good games. With that attack they should be able to beat a down Panthers team, especially since they are coming off of a bye.
CAR 12 – 21 NO
Baltimore Ravens @ New York Giants
The Ravens have lost two straight and the Giants have lost three straight. Both teams are averaging around 18 points per game, but the Giants are giving up four more points per game. With the Ravens changing offensive coordinators, it will be interesting to see how they attack the Giants defensive front seven. The Ravens have been able to average 99 yards per game with their old scheme and should be able to get something like that this week against the Giants. The Ravens should win a close one in New York.
BAL 20 – 17 NYG
Cleveland Browns @ Tennessee Titans
The biggest question for the Browns is who is going to play quarterback. It looks like Cody Kessler should be able to go, but if he gets injured again this team could be in for even more trouble. The Titans have looked better and better each week and should do the same this week. The Browns have given up 115 yards per game while the Titans have been one of the best rushing offenses in the league. DeMarco Murray should have his way with this Browns team and lead the Titans to another victory.
CLE 10 – 21 TEN
Philadelphia Eagles @ Washington Redskins
This should be a really good division matchups between the Redskins and Eagles. Carson Wentz is still looking really good, despite throwing his first interception of his career last week. The biggest problem will be the loss of one of their biggest targets, Jordan Reed. That will eliminate their biggest redzone threat and could limit what they can do against this Philadelphia’s defense. At the end, Philadelphia just seems like a better team and should be able to win a close one against their NFC East rivals.
PHI 24 – 20 WAS
Kansas City Chiefs @ Oakland Raiders
This is an interesting AFC West matchup them at the Chiefs need to win. Derek Carr continues to impress as he has been able to throw for eleven touchdowns to his two interceptions. Kansas City needs to run the ball effectively with their two running backs and control this game. Oakland should be able to come out on top and stay in the driver seat for their division.
KC 17 – 23 OAK
Dallas Cowboys @ Green Bay Packers
The Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers are slated to face off in a big NFC matchup. Dallas has the best rushing offense in the league and the Packers have the best rushing defense. They haven't faced a team like Dallas this season as the only team with a good running attack that they have faced was Minnesota, but that was when Adrian Peterson went down. The biggest question mark for the Packers is their running attack. It looks like Starks and Lacy will be limited if they even play at all. This should be a close one that Dallas just squeaks out of with a win.
DAL 27 – 23 GB
Atlanta Falcons @ Seattle Seahawks
The matchup between the Atlanta offense and Seattle defense might be the best of the weekend. Atlanta has averaged 35 points per game and the Seahawks have allowed an average of 13.5 points per game. One of these two things has to break and it is probably going to be the Falcons offense in Seattle. The Seahawks should win his close game.
ATL 20 – 21 SEA
Indianapolis Colts @ Houston Texans
Neither of these teams have been particular good so far this season. Andrew Luck has been the strength of the Colts and Brock Osweiler has been the weakness of the Texans. Osweiler still hasn't been able to figure out his offense and has thrown seven interceptions and hasn't been able to include his best weapons to this point in the season. Unfortunately for Indianapolis, no one outside of Luck and Hilton has been particularly good and will probably have problems this week. Houston should win a close one.
IND 22 – 24 HOU
New York Jets @ Arizona Cardinals
NYJ 17 – 24 ARI
