3/16/2017

With less than two weeks left, the draft will be here soon. It is one of the more exciting times of the NFL year and should give hope to most of the teams.

Picture

1. Cleveland Browns

Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M
Myles Garrett is the most obvious number one pick in years. He is a game changer and it would be foolish if the Browns went in any other direction.

Other Needs: QB, CB, S, LB, OL

2. San Francisco 49ers

Solomon Thomas, DL, Stanford
The 49ers have picked up two quarterbacks through free agency and should improve their team in other ways. Their best option is to look at defensive lineman Solomon Thomas. He can play anywhere on the defensive line and would give San Francisco a player to build around going forward, especially while they go to a 4-3 defense.

Other needs: LB, CB, WR, OL, QB

3. Chicago Bears

Jamal Adams, S, LSU
The Bears need some help in their secondary and Jamal Adams would fill that need. Adams is a leader that would help change the culture in the Chicago locker room.

Other needs: DL, WR, CB, OL

4. Jacksonville Jaguars

Jonathan Allen, DE, Alabama
Jacksonville doesn't have any huge needs going into the draft and should take the best player available. Jonathan Allen haas issues with his shoulders, but has been playing with them for years. He would certainly make Jacksonville better.

Other needs: OL, DL, QB, RB

5. Tennessee Titans (Los Angeles Rams)

Marshon Lattimore, CB, Ohio State
The Tennessee Titans need cornerbacks and the best one in this draft is Marshon Lattimore. He would provide an instant upgrade to Tennessee's secondary for several years.

Other Needs: S, WR, DL, LB

6. New York Jets

Malik Hooker, S, Ohio State
The Jets need some help in their secondary and Malik Hooker is the best option at this point in the draft. He has good ball skills and should be worth the investment at pick six.

Other needs: QB, CB, OL, RB

Picture

7. Los Angeles Chargers

Mike Williams, WR, Clemson
Philip Rivers only has a few years left and could use a legitimate number one receiver. Williams would give him a weapon that he hasn't had since Vincent Jackson.

Other needs: LB, OL, DL

Picture

8. Carolina Panthers

Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU
The Panthers could use help in a couple of areas, but seeing Fournette in the backfield with Cam Newton would be interesting. His mix of size and speed are rare and would take a lot of the pressure of of Newton.

Other Needs: CB, OL

Picture

9. Cincinnati Bengals

Reuben Foster, ILB, Alabama
The strength of the Bengals is supposed to be their defense, but they didn’t show up the way Bengals fans would have liked them to this season. They need some youth and talent to help revitalize this defense and Reuben Foster is the perfect candidate for the job.

Other Needs: CB, TE, WR

Picture

10. Buffalo Bills

John Ross III, WR, Washington
The Buffalo Bills would have a chance to draft a quarterback, but adding a receiver like John Ross on the other side of Sammy Watkins would be really appealing for any quarterback. He ran the fastest 40 yard dash time ever at the NFL combine and would keep defenses honest.

Other needs: QB, DL, S, CB

Picture

11. New Orleans Saints

Derek Barnett, DL, Tennessee
The Saints need a lot of help on defense and Barnett would be the best defensive player available. He has the ability to get to the quarterback and would give them a threat in their front seven.

Other Needs: TE, LB, DB

Picture

12. Cleveland Browns  (Philadelphia Eagles)

Mitchell Trubisky, QB, North Carolina
The Cleveland Browns need a quarterback as well and they should bring in Ohio native, Mitchell Trubisky. He doesn't have a lot of experience, only starting one year at North Carolina, but Hue Jackson could make him into a top passer in this league.

Other Needs: CB, DE, S

Picture

13. Arizona Cardinals

DeShone Kizer, QB, Notre Dame
The Cardinals need to start looking toward the future after Carson Palmer. DeShone Kizer possibly has the highest ceiling of all the quarterbacks in this draft, but has to develop the most of the three main choices. If he can sit and learn from Palmer, then he might be a top quarterback in this league.

Other Needs: OL, TE, WR

Picture

14. Philadelphia Eagles (Minnesota Vikings)

Dalvin Cook, RB, Florida State
The Eagles got some wide receivers through free agency and just needs a running back to pair with them. Dalvin Cook is arguably the best one in this draft, but there are concerns with his shoulders. Having him in the backfield with Ryan Mathews would help him adjust to the NFL.

Other needs: OL, CB, DE, TE

Picture

15. Indianapolis Colts

Ryan Ramczyk, OT, Wisconsin
The Colts need to protect Andrew Luck and Ramczyk is the best option for that. Ramczyk is the best all around offensive lineman in this year's draft and should be able to play on either side.

Other needs: DL, TE, WR, CB

Picture

16. Baltimore Ravens

Zach Cunningham, LB, Vanderbilt
The Ravens need to get younger and linebacker and Cunningham would be a good fit. He can play multiple positions and would give them a player to focus their defense on going forward.

Other needs: S, DL, RB

Picture

17. Washington Redskins

Malik McDowell, DL, Michigan State
The Washington Redskins need help along their defensive line and McDowell could fill multiple roles for the team. His athleticism would make the Redskins defense a nightmare to face.

Other needs: TE, RB

Picture

18. Tennessee Titans

Corey Davis, WR, Western Michigan
If the Titans are able to get a big piece for their secondary with their first pick, then they should look to help out their other weakness, wide receiver. Corey Davis could be the best wide receiver in the draft, but might drop off in the draft after dealing with an ankle surgery.

Other Needs: DL, CB
Embed from Getty Images

Picture

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

OJ Howard, TE, Alabama
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could use another threat to go with Mike Evans and there might not be a better one than OJ Howard. He has good speed, power, hands and is probably the best blocking tight end in the draft. He would be a reliable player for Jameis Winston.

Other needs: WR, RB

Picture

20. Denver Broncos

Forrest Lamp, OL, Western Kentucky
The Denver Broncos could use some talented players on the offensive line and Forrest Lamp might be the most experienced guy in the draft. They picked up Ronald Leary in free agency, but they still need help on the offensive line. He was a four year starter at left tackle and is more likely to move to guard in the NFL due to his size and arm length, but should be a top five guard within three or four years.

Other needs: QB, RB, TE

Picture

21. Detroit Lions

Haason Reddick, LB, Temple
The Detroit Lions could use some help on defense and Haason Reddick would be an interesting fit. A former safety, Reddick is a linebacker that can get to the backfield. He can play inside or outside and would give the Lions a boost.

Other needs: RB, CB, DL
Embed from Getty Images

Picture

22. Miami Dolphins

Marlon Humphrey, CB, Alabama
Marlon Humphrey has the size and athleticism to be a top defensive back in the NFL. He is very young and raw, but could play safety or cornerback. Miami could use someone with his athleticism in their secondary.

Other Needs: TE, DL, S

Picture

23. New York Giants

Cam Robinson, OT, Alabama
The Giants need some help along their offensive line and Robinson could be a fit. He is a three year starter at left tackle for Alabama and has the ability to be a good tackle in the NFL with his size and ability. He needs to work on his balance and technique and hopefully the Giants' coaching staff will be able to help.

Other needs: RB, LB

Picture

24. Oakland Raiders

Christian McCaffrey, RB, Stanford
The Oakland Raiders have a void with Latavius Murray becoming a free agent and Christian McCaffrey would become a vital weapon for Derek Carr. McCaffrey can play from the backfield or be moved to the slot and be effective. He would improve an already good offense and make the Raiders even more effective. Even with the possible addition of Marshawn Lynch, McCaffrey would still thrive in Oakland.

Other needs: CB, DL, LB

Picture

25. Houston Texans

DeShaun Watson, QB, Clemson
Houston needs a quarterback and if Watson was there, they need to take him. Watson is the most NFL ready quarterback in the draft, but needs to learn to stay in the pocket and read the field better. Bill O'Brien is supposed to be good with quarterbacks and should help Watson transition to the NFL.

Other needs: OL, CB
Embed from Getty Images

Picture

26. Seattle Seahawks

Dan Feeney, OG, Indiana
The Seahawks need help along the offensive line to get back to their winning formula of running the football. Feeney started four years at Indiana and should make a good right guard in the NFL. He only allowed two sacks in his four years and would be an instant upgrade for Seattle's poor offensive line.

Other needs: DL, RB, WR

Picture

27. Kansas City Chiefs

Charles Harris, DE, Missouri
The Chiefs could use some help on their defensive line and Charles Harris would be a good fit. He has a high motor and would be able to make an impact on this defense. He still needs to develop a little bit, but should be able to do so in Kansas City.

Other needs: S, WR, RB
Embed from Getty Images

Picture

28. Dallas Cowboys

Takkarist McKinley, OLB, UCLA
The Cowboys could really use some defensive line help and Takk McKinley would be a good fit. McKinley is one of the fastest rushers in the draft and never gives up. He is about to have surgery for a torn labrum, but he has been dealing with that injury for nearly two years. If he was that good with a bad shoulder, he should be outstanding when he is healthy again.

Other needs: CB, WR, S, TE
Embed from Getty Images

Picture

29. Green Bay Packers

Taco Charlton, DE, Michigan
The Green Bay Packers need someone to replace Julius Peppers and Taco Charlton could be a good fit. He has all the physical attributes that a team might want in a defensive lineman, but is still quite raw.

Other needs: LB, DE, RB
Embed from Getty Images

Picture

30. Pittsburgh Steelers

TJ Watt, DE/OLB, Wisconsin
James Harrison isn't getting any younger and the Steelers need to find a replacement. Watt would be a good fit as a 3-4 outside linebacker and would be able to learn from Harrison before he retires.

Other needs: WR, DB
Embed from Getty Images

Picture

31. Atlanta Falcons

Carl Lawson, DE, Auburn
The Falcons came a long way on defense last season and Lawson would add some more youth and depth to their defensive line. He was inconsistent in college, but showed elite athleticism and ability at times. Being on a team like the Falcons should help him develop and gain more consistency.

Other needs: LB, DB

Picture

32. New Orleans Saints (New England Patriots)

Tre'Davious White, CB, LSU
The Saints upgraded their defensive line with their first pick and should be able to upgrade their secondary with their second pick. White was a a four year starter at LSU and might be the most consistent cornerback in this year's draft. The addition of Barnett and White would make the Saints' defense significantly better.
